Knife gate valves are widely used in various industries, from coal selection, slag and waste discharge in mining power plants to sewage treatment in cities, from general industrial pipes to specialized pipes in the food, hygiene, and pharmaceutical industries. Knife gate valves, also known as knife gate valves, knife gate valves, slurry valves, and mud valves, use gate plates as their opening and closing components, and the gate plate moves perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow. They cut off the medium with a knife-blade-shaped gate plate that can cut fibrous materials.
When a knife gate valve is closed, the sealing surface can rely solely on the medium pressure to seal, that is, rely on the medium pressure to press the sealing surface of the gate plate against the valve seat on the other side to ensure the sealing of the sealing surface. This is called self-sealing. Most gate valves use forced sealing, that is, when the valve is closed, external force is needed to press the gate plate against the valve seat for sealing. This type of valve is generally installed vertically in the pipeline.
Manual, chain wheel, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, bevel gear, electric-hydraulic, and pneumatic-hydraulic drive. Knife gate valves come in two types: rising stem and non-rising stem. Material for knife gate valves includes cast iron, cast steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, and PTFE lining. The ultra-thin knife gate valve thoroughly solves the difficult problems of high flow resistance, heavy weight, difficult installation and large area occupied by ordinary gate valves, flat gate valves, ball valves, globe valves, regulating valves, butterfly valves and other valves. After the knife gate valve appeared, a large number of general cut-off valves and regulating valves were replaced by it. The United States and Japan have the largest consumption of knife gate valves in the world.
The valve control can be done on-site and remotely, and remote position display and remote centralized control can be realized according to user requirements.
Light weight: The body is made of carbon steel, and the weight is about 20%-30% lighter than that of traditional gate valves, which is convenient for installation and maintenance.
The use of this valve can improve the closing sealing performance of the conveying pipeline system, effectively eliminate leakage, and play a positive role in improving production efficiency and protecting the environment.
The sealing surface adopts high wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant ceramic materials. The knife gate valve uses inlaying technology, which has high corrosion resistance and good wear resistance, thereby extending the valve life and increasing the cost-effectiveness by 10 times compared to ordinary valves.
Handwheels, handles, and transmission mechanisms are not allowed to be used for lifting, and collision is strictly prohibited.
Double gate plate gate valves should be installed vertically (that is, the valve stem is in a vertical position, and the handwheel is on the top).
Gate valves with bypass valves should open the bypass valves first before opening (to balance the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet and reduce the opening force).
Gate valves with transmission mechanisms should be installed according to the instructions in the product manual.
If the valve is frequently operated, it should be lubricated at least once a month.
